JMC Volunteers at CDC Disease Detectives Camp

Being able to share our passion and interest in public health with students is a great joy, and the CDC Disease Detectives Camp recently provided JMC with that opportunity. CDC Museum Disease Detective Camp (DDC) is an interdisciplinary educational program organized by the CDC Museum. The museum recruited public health professionals to pose as victims and answer questions by the campers investigating the mock outbreak. It was wonderful to talk to so many intelligent, motivated students and to watch as they figured out the right questions to ask to work out the details of the outbreak scenario.

We would like to thank the David J. Spencer CDC Museum for the opportunity to volunteer and wish all the campers the best of luck with their investigations – this week and in the future!
