JMC Joins the Fight Against Hunger with Data Detective Work

At J Michael Consulting, we know that data can be a powerful force for good. Recently, Team JMC had the opportunity to put our skills to work in a meaningful way through a virtual Data Detectives session with Hunger Free America.

Armed with a phone, a computer, and a lot of heart, our team made 159 calls to food pantries, soup kitchens, and SNAP WIC offices across the country. Our goal? To help verify and update listings for the USDA Hunger Hotline, a vital resource that connects individuals and families with emergency food assistance in their area.

In just one session, we were able to update 40 listings, ensuring that those calling the hotline have access to accurate and up-to-date information. These seemingly small updates can make a huge difference by connecting people with the services they need, when they need them most.

We are proud to contribute to a project that promotes food access and equity across the nation. A big thank you to Hunger Free America for the opportunity to give back using what we know best: data, collaboration, and community impact.
