Epidemiology
Practice Area

LogoTransGrey_lg.png

The JMC Epidemiology (Epi) Team consists of team members with educational backgrounds and local, state, or federal public health agency experience in Epidemiology. We focus on surveillance informatics, working on disease surveillance activities from the initial report of an illness or condition to the public health agency through the notification of the case to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Our team members have expertise in public health surveillance systems, reportable and notifiable diseases, data translation and exchange, case investigation and data management.

WHO WE ARE...

The JMC Epi Team consists of subject matter experts trained in epidemiology and surveillance, who also bring skills including terminology, business analysis, and training to every project. We have worked in organizations across multiple levels of government, including local, state, and federal, and with national public health and informatics organizations such as the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE), Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), Public Health Informatics Institute (PHII), and Health Level Seven International (HL7). In particular, our epidemiologists all have “boots-on-the-ground” experience in applied epidemiology and prioritize maintaining knowledge in this field. This ongoing experience means we can fit in seamlessly, not only with your organization, but also with other stakeholders involved in your project.
