This course provides training to help orient new informaticians to the HL7 V2 message structure and provide guidance on using it for exchanging health-related data. It also identifies and details the message delimiters, segments and data types that are essential parts of this data exchange process. The course provides review opportunities in each section to test the knowledge and review learning topics essential to HL7 V2 data messaging and validation.
