Lisa is an HL7 Interface Developer with over 11 years of experience who brings an in depth understanding of standards and programming. Lisa is a client-oriented professional who combines the clients’ goals with the optimal solution to maintain data integrity and complete projects in a timely manner. She encourages innovation and in-depth analysis to create efficient interfaces for the healthcare industry. Lisa has experience creating, analyzing and trouble-shooting clinical, scheduling and claims HL7 interfaces. She also has worked on in-depth troubleshooting of CCDA interfaces. She has spent the last 2 years as an Integration Engineer for the Veteran’s Administration Electronic Health Record Modernization project.
Lisa began her career as an electrical engineer specializing in bulk power generation. She has worked extensively as an Automation Controls Engineer in other industries for streamlining processes and ensuring standards were met. She has used various programming languages from PLC ladder logic to C++. Lisa has worked for large manufacturing companies including Lucent Technologies, Corning, Hershey and Nestle. She transitioned to the world of EDI before moving to healthcare informatics. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, GA. She holds Rhapsody Associate and Professional Certifications.
