Rick is a seasoned professional with two decades of experience in public health informatics within the nonprofit sector. Before joining JMC, Rick's career journey spanned across the manufacturing sector and a data analytics startup. Holding an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a masters from Oakland University, both in software engineering, Rick brings a wealth of knowledge to the table.

As a collaborative leader, Rick is driven by a passion for creating positive impacts. His expertise lies in leading agile technology teams focused on enhancing population health. In his most recent role, Rick played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding a Public Health Systems Division at a Michigan nonprofit. Here, he successfully managed a diverse team of engineers, project managers, and analysts.

At the forefront of innovation, Rick spearheaded enterprise solutions aimed at modernizing public health infrastructure. In his executive leadership capacity, he demonstrated proficiency in managing division budgets, driving business development, shaping strategic direction, cultivating client relationships, and staff development.

Throughout his career, Rick has been involved in a wide array of public health initiatives. From syndromic surveillance to disease registries, contact tracing, and various interoperability projects, his contributions have spanned infectious disease, chronic disease, vital statistics, environmental health, and public health workforce tools. Rick's resume reflects his commitment to advancing public health through technology and strategic leadership.
