Sara Sanford

Sara Sanford joined JMC in 2023 as a project management consultant and has over 13 years of experience managing projects within the fields of clinical research and public health informatics. Before joining JMC Sara managed HIV clinical research studies at Emory University and served as the Project Director for the Women’s Interagency HIV Study (WIHS) Atlanta site.

Sara shifted from research to public health informatics when she joined the Task Force for Global Health’s Public Health Informatics Institute (PHII). While at PHII Sara served as a project manager on the Digital Bridge initiative, and immunization information system (IIS) projects which included the development of a system transition learning community, toolkits, and workforce development workshops.

Sara also supported IIS projects at the American Immunization Registry Association including the CDC-sponsored Immunization (IZ) Gateway and the development of a program supporting provider organization onboarding. Sara holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and a graduate certificate in Evaluation and Assessment Methods from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA.
